Chakra Yoga 8 Week Series

2th June 2016 - 28th July 2016
Every Thursday night from 7.00p.m. - 8.30p.m.
Fee: RM200 for 8 weeks or RM30 per individual session

This 8 week series will introduce you to the energy world of the Chakras, cover the basics about each chakra: their physical, emotional and mental aspects. You will learn the related asanas, basic pranayama (breathing exercises) and simple concentration & visualisation techniques.

Over 8 weeks, we will take one chakra per week covering each of the seven major chakras, starting with the Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown Chakras with one week focusing on learning the full yogic breath through learning the sectional Three Part Breath.

We will be practising in the lovely space of Lifeworks Holistic Centre. As space is limited, please book your place by 15 May. We will go on a first come basis.

Note dates: We will meet for classes every Thursday except for 21 July.

About Sarah-Joy Amin

Sarah-Joy Amin has been trained in the Chakra Yoga Tradition at the Pyramid Yoga school in Thailand qualifying for the 300 hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate in April 2013. For more details, see: https://www.pyramidyoga.com/teachertraining/

She was introduced to yoga during her adolescent years and resumed her yoga practice in Jan 2010 almost 2 decades of spinal injuries. In Dec. 2013, she completed her the 108 hours Yoga Healers course.

Her main teacher, David Goulet, is a yogi with 40 years' experience in the nine forms of Yoga, while her other teachers come from several traditions including Tai Chi Yoga, Yoga Pilates and Vinyasa Yoga. She is also a student of the Inner Peace Yoga Circle (IPYC) enjoying the Kundalini Yoga experience.

Sarah-Joy is committed to yoga for she has seen how the practice has helped her through critical periods coping with physical injuries as well as healing deep emotional stresses. It has also opened her to a range of spiritual practices that respect multiple traditions.

She is sensitive to students with special needs, especially those with back, shoulder and neck pains.

The Yoga Healers course has additionally given her the background to help those with different health needs.
